Ndabaningi Sithole conferred with National Hero Status

ZANU PF’s founding fathers Rev Ndabaningi Chandiwana Sithole has been confered with National Hero status.

Defense minister Oppah Muchinguri officiated the conferment and laying of wreaths on his grave at Freedom Farm in Mt Selinda Manicaland today.

A private church service led by the United Church of Christ in Zimbabwe was held at the family homestead.

Cde Ndabaningi Sithole served as the founding Zanu leader and was also a clergyman. He passed away in the United States in December 2000.

Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs N. Matsikanyere, Minister of Home Affairs Kazembe Kazembe, Minister of Women Affairs Sithembiso Nyoni, President of Chief’s Council Cde Sydney. Sekeremayi, Secretary for Finance Cde Patrick Chinamasa, Politburo member Cde Tshinga Dube were among the attendees.
