President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government has awarded US$400 000 housing loans to all judges ahead of the country’s general elections.

This comes as President Mnangagwa declared 23 August the day for elections.

Writing on Twitter, David Coltart condemned the move by ZANU PF government.

He said: “I’ve just been told that all #Zimbabwean Judges have been given US$400,000 housing loans each… If this is true how is this justifiable in a democratic society, with so many poverty stricken?”.
