The Business Insider Africa reports that Kenya’s President, William Ruto has set plans to abolish visa restrictions for Africans traveling to Kenya for business.

This comes as part of Kenya’s efforts to enhance intra-Africa commerce.

Ruto apologized for the visa requirements to public and business sector leaders at a session on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Nairobi on Monday.

The move aims to promote the free flow of products, reduce prices, and make intra-African commerce more profitable.
