Zimbabwean Rugby legend Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira handed over the Webb Ellis Cup to World Cup organisers in France today.

Mtawarira was part of the Springboks that won the 2019 World Cup in Japan, having played 114 Tests for South Africa.

Writing on Facebook, Beast said it was an honour to carry the Trophy from South Africa to Paris

“Such an honour and privilege to carry the Webb Ellis Trophy from SA to Paris. I got all kinds of emotional when I saw it again, WOW🥹. Thank you Rugby World Cup Rugby World Cup France 2023☺️”, he wrote.
