Zimbabwe International footballer Marshall Munetsi bagged an award during the 31st edition of the French National Professional Football Players Union (UNFP) trophy ceremony that was held in Paris on Sunday evening.

Munetsi was awarded for his philanthropic work in the country through his foundation.

The Stade de Reims star sets aside 20 percent of his salary to pay for the education of children for disadvantaged communities in Zimbabwe.

Writing on Facebook, Munetsi said he is very honoured to receive the amazing award from the Trophées UNFP.

“I would like to thank my club Stade de Reims for offering a platform to assist the underprivileged through the Marshall Munetsi Foundation. A special thanks to Wasserman for their amazing work in supporting me”, he added.
