Economic analyst Steve Hank has named Zimbabwe as the most miserable country due to massive inflation.

Writing on Twitter, Hanke blamed the economic collapse on Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube, citing that Zimbabwe’s inflation rate is now at 717%/year.

He added that It’s no surprise that Zimbabweans want Ncube to spend more time in the Economics 101 classroom because he has failed.

“Thanks to stunning inflation, high unemployment, high lending rates, and anemic real GDP growth, Zimbabwe clocks in as the WORLD’S MOST MISERABLE COUNTRY in the Hanke 2022 Annual Misery Index.”
