President Emmerson Mnangagwa is facing massive backlash after pardoning dangerous people through the Presidential amnesty.
In order to reduce congestion in the country’s prisons, Mnangagwa pardoned more than 4000 prisoners.
CCC spokeperson Fadzayi Mahere condemned the act. She said amnesty is never granted to rapists or people who have committed other crimes like murder.
One of the prisoners who raped a nine-year-old girl and had served one year of his sentence expressed his excitment.
