President Emmerson Mnangagwa has set 2023 harmonised elections for August this year.
Mnangagwa made the announcement while addressing thousands of ruling party supporters during the commissioning of Rwenya Bridge.
At least six million people have registered to vote in the upcoming elections.
He said people should vote for Zanu PF to preserve their cultural heritage and independence.
