Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi has arrived with his wife Neo in Switzerland for a four days state visit at the invitation of the President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset.
Masisi said the invitation comes as an acknowledgment of Botswana’s democratic traditions and underscores the will to seize the opportunities raised by cooperation.
During the visit, the two leaders will discuss areas for the development of bilateral relations.
“A significant part of the discussions will be devoted to regional issues concerning southern Africa and cooperation within the UN framework”, said Masisi.
