Mbuya Stella Chiweshe passed away at the age of 77 early Friday morning in Kuwadzana Suburb, Harare.
Her daughter, Virginia Mukwesha-Hetze confirmed “she died peacefully from cancer of the brain at home in Harare this morning”.
Mbuya Chiweshe was a recipient of local and international awards including:
-Billboard music award (1993), the NAMA (2006), NAMA lifetime achievement award(2020).
