A Chinhoyi University of Technology final year student was hit to death by a haulage truck that veered off the road near campus main entrance yesterday afternoon.
The student and were friend were walking from the campus when the incident happened.
According to Daily Mirror News, some witnesses said the late had managed to save her friend from the truck but failed to escape the truck which smashed her by the trailer wheels killing her instantly.
Her body was taken to Chinhoyi provincial Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
Her friend and some students who were present were taken to the same hospital.
