South Korea missile drill blew up as it turned over into the ground Wednesday during a live fire drill with the United States that was a retaliation for North Korea’s successful launch.

The explosion panicked and confused residents of the City of Gangneung who were over increasingly provocative weapon tests by rival North Korea NewsReport reported.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of staff said there were no injuries reported from the explosion.

The ruling party lawmaker representing Gangneung criticized the millitary for not issuing a notice about the failure while maintaining a media embargo on the joint drills.
