Bulawayo has begun a process to expand critical water treatment and conveyance infrastructure in readiness to receive increased water supplies from Lake Gwayi Shangani which will be a lasting solution to the City water woes, Chronicle reported.
The expansion of water treatment will enhance distribution of water to critical areas across the city.
Construction works are being done with laying of a 245km pipeline linking Gwayi-Shangani and Bulawayo.
This project is expected to create wider economic opportunities and increased development in the whole region.
