Tsitsi Dangarembga, an author and activist and Julie Barnes her journalist have issued out a statement after they was found guilty of inciting violence.
The 2021 winner of prize German Book Trade was among people arrested during the anti-government protests that happened in 2020.
“We urge you all to stand peacefully for freedom, justice and dignity in our country at all times”, they said in a statement.
