Queen Elizabeth II has been laid to rest after a state funeral attended by world leaders was held today.

British’s longest serving mornach Queen Elizabeth II died on 8 September aged 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Thousands of people gathered to witness the queen’s casket leaving from Westminster Hall to the church and eventually to Windsor Castle.

She was laid to rest alongside her late husband, Prince Philip and her father, King George VI.
