Former president of Botswana Ian Khama spoke on SABC news about what he will remember Queen Elizabeth II on.

Khama said he cannot blame Queen Elizabeth II for colonialism because she had also inherited colonialism.

He added that the Queen moved from the old time and adapted to new times that is why most people respected her even though Britain was involved in the colonialism of many countries in Africa.

He also said that in order for people to develop culturally and economically they must move on from colonial dark regime of the past and have a common bond that brings positive outcomes.
