UK based Zimbabwean Journalist,  Maynard Manyowa, has announced the sad news that his new born son died this morning.

Writing on Facebook,  Manyowa said:

Our child Tyler Kundisai Manyowa will not be coming home with us. He died before we could bring him to meet his brothers, and his sisters.

Fate has it that you may not and will not meet him, but we must tell you, our baby is beautiful and we all wish you had met him.

Our hearts are broken, for who he may have been. We loved and will always love TK.

We appreciate every single family member who sent gifts in anticipation of his homecoming, and those who pumped the baby shower and / or had gifts lined up.

His room was ready. And we had plans to show him around. It hasn’t gone the way we wanted, but such is life – it comes at you fast.

My wife is OK, though her spirit is broken. So am I.

We don’t have the strength of alert everyone directly, hence we settled on this medium.

This is also a very private and intimate moment. My wife, and my family, will decide how we proceed. We appreciate everyone who was in the know, and those that sent gifts and readied for the baby shower.

When we settle matters relating to our child’s funeral, we will make a choice between donating all gifts to a charity or keeping them for out next child.

This is a difficult moment for us, and also a private one. And its also about TK, who we shall always love and carry with us.

To TK, our angel, we love you Musaigawa Save. Someday we will all unite mwanangu!
