Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has welcomed America’s decision to remove eleven Zimbabweans from sanctions.
The 11 individuals being removed from the SDN list are either deceased or have been deemed to no longer undermine the democratic processes and institutions.
Hakainde said: “We welcome @POTUS and the US Government’s fresh look at sanctions on Zimbabwe.”
He added tha he greatly appreciates the White House for having a listening ear to the SADC region.
People took to the comment section to warn Hichilema against celebrating because they only removed dead people.
He was also compared to Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi who sings ZANU PF sanctions propaganda against and oppressesed people
