President Emmerson Mnangagwa joined world leaders in mourning the death of United Kingdom monarch Queen Elizabeth II who died yesterday at the age of 96.

Announcing her death, Buckingham Palace said: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon”.

Posting on Twitter, Mnangagwa conveyed his condolences to the people of UK and the commonwealth.

“My deepest condolences to the @RoyalFamily, the people of the United Kingdom, and the Commonwealth as they mourn the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. May she rest in peace,” posted ED.
