Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s Rainbow TV, is closing after its licence was revoked by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA).
Rainbow TV will be closing at the expiration of the period that it was given by MACRA. All media activities related to Rainbow Television will also shut down.
Malawi political forces are suspected to be behind the closure of Rainbow Tv.
The channel was took off air after it was discovered that the station had failed to pay the annual license fees in June 2022.
