The Zimbabwe Gems have qualified to next year’s Netball World Cup in South Africa after beating Zambia 59-41 in the 3rd place play-off.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa took to social media to congratulate the team.
“Congratulations to the Zimbabwe Gems for qualifying for the Netball World Cup – you should be immensely proud!”
The team consists of Felistus Kwangwa, Chipo Shoko, Priscilla Ndlovu, Claris Kwaramba, Tanaka Sharleen Makusha, Elizabeth Mushore, Progress Moyo, Ursula Ndlovu, Beaulla Hlungwane, Patricia Mauladi, Sharon Bwanali, Tafadzwa Matura, Nobukhosi Ndlovu, Nicole Muzanenhamo, and Joice Takaidza.
This is the second consecutive Netball World Cup for Zimbabwe.
