Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba has responded to outrage caused by her xenophobic comments in a video that circulated yesterday.
Speaking to SABC, Ramathuba said she is not apologetic over her xenophobic comments instead it is her responsibility to ensure that the people in her province lived a long and healthy life.
Ramathuba said the influx of illegal Zimbabweans into South Africa is burdening the country’s health system.
She said illegal foreign nationals had the option of seeking healthcare in their home countries however they hijack SA healthcare services.
