Zimbabwe Miners Federation president Henrietta Rushwaya has been acquitted in a matter in which she was being accused of offering $US5000 to an Airport Official in a bid to smuggle 6kgs of Gold to Dubai.
In acquitting Rushwaya, Harare regional magistrate Mrs Learnmore Mapiye said there was a lot of inconsistencies in witnesses’ evidence and it was not convincing.
Rushwaya’s lawayer said the witnesses failed to corroborate in their testimonies.
