Journalist Sophie Mokoena reports that Americans blocked journalists at a women’s event in Pretoria, South Africa.
This comes after America Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Cyril Ramaphosa in Centurion and marked the country’s Women’s Day holiday today.
Writing on social media, Sophie said Journalists were denied entry even though they had media invitation.
“Americans refusing us entry at a Women’s event in Pretoria in South Africa. Even though we have a media invitation,” she wrote.
Mokoena said its a sad day for Africa as Americans continue bullying the continent.
South Africa is celebrating National Women’s Day dedicated to raising awareness for the freedoms and rights of women and drawing attention to the issues women still face today.
