The Chronicle reports that four armed robbers raided a cash in transit vehicle at Mukuru Money Transfer Agency in Bulawayo stealing US$100 000 and over R500 000 today.

The robbers pounced on the security company vehicle soon after it had parked at Mukuru branch along 13th Avenue and Lobengula Street in Bulawayo.

One of the men reportedly shot at people who were queuing outside the branch while his accomplishes went for the money boxes.

The armed robbers reportedly drove off as security guards tried shooting at their silver car.
