Former Harare Mayor Ben Manyenyeni has revealed that Mayor Jacob Mafume now earns USD25.
Writing on Facebook, Manyenyeni said Mafume who has the most difficult job in the country gets about $25 a month for his battles.
He added that a council employee who was earning a real USD basic salary of $622.51 per month is now earning less than USD equivalent $100 per month.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.
I spent years fighting remuneration OVERPAYMENT at Harare City Council which the Local Government Minister had granted in March 2013 which blew around $500m in resultant OVERPAYMENT.
The reverse is now at play – equally wrong!
A Council employee who was earning a real USD basic salary of $622.51 per month is now earning less than USD equivalent $100 per month.
And the man with the most difficult job in the country, His Worship the Mayor, gets about $25 a month for his battles.
