WATCH LIVE as Gambakwe Media speaks about the theft of USD 2 Million (R 36 Million) from the bank account of the late Zimbabwean flamboyant businessman, Obert Karombe.
The Sowetan newspaper reports that Johannesburg businesswoman Nomaphelo Seti (28), Her Cameronian boyfriend Rody Martial Nzeya (43) and FNB Makhado bank teller, Thabiso Matenda have been arrested by the Special Investigations Unit over the theft.
The newspaper reports that Matenda opened a new bank account in the name of Karombe on 25 April, the day after he died.
Seti and Nzeya received R5. 5 from the loot after Matenda transferred the stolen R36 Million into her bank account in one transaction.
Trouble started when Seti and Rody fought over their share of the loot.
Seti then went to report Rody for assault at the police in Johannesburg where police discovered that the money they were fighting for was stolen and arrested them both.
The case was postponed to 22 July for a bail hearing at Makhado Magistrates court.
