Former Britian Prime Minister Tony Blair visited Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema at the State House today.

Writing on Twitter, Hakainde said he exchanged a wide range of matters with Tony Blair.

He said: “Always honoured to receive elder Statesmen like RT Hon Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of Great Britain, with whom we exchanged a wide range of matters at State House today.”

Hichilema added that its a blessing to for Zambia to keep engaging current and former world leaders in order to push the country’s economic transformation agenda in agriculture, health, mining, trade and investment.

“We are pleased that friends of Zambia support us in our endeavours and quest to better the lives of our people through creating opportunities and decent employment for our citizens. ”
