President Hakainde  Hichilema officially opened the 56th edition of the Zambia International Trade Fair today in Ndola on the Copperbelt.

The theme is “Promoting Value Addition for Sustainable Growth”.

Hichilema said:

The ZITF is the biggest trade exhibition in Zambia and has this year seen more than 800 local and international exhibitors from various sectors of our economy.

As patron for the ZITF, we thank the organisers for the appropriate theme that perfectly resonates with our economic transformation agenda of value addition focusing on processing our local products into finished goods which will create more jobs.

Copperbelt is particularly special for us as it houses the material that will feed our batteries for electric motor vehicles following the MOU we signed with DRC.

We shall continue exploring ways of improving the business environment especially the cost of doing business. Zambia is back and open for business.
