Emmerson Mnangagwa congratulated Senator Chief Fortune Charumbira for being elected as the Pan African Parliament President.
Chief Charumbira received a total of 161 votes at an election held in Midrand, South Africa on Wednesday.
Mnangagwa said: “congratulations to Fortune Charumbira for their election as President of the Pan African Parliament.”
This is the first time that a Zimbabwean politician has been elected to this key position.
Mnangagwa added that: “Zimbabweans are driving our continent towards greater cooperation and prosperity! ”
