Prominent Zimbabwean lawyer Alex Magaisa’s remains are expected to arrive in the country on June 25.

There will be an open memorial service at Eastend Hall, Showground the next day June 26 from 11-3pm.

The family has encouraged all those who can attend to go in their numbers to bid farewell to Magaisa.

Alex passed away at Margate Hospital in the United Kingdom after suffering from a cardiac arrest.

Born on December 9, 1975, Magaisa was a Zimbabwean academic and lecturer of law at the Kent Law School of the University of Kent.

He had served well as the Advisor of the then Prime Minister of Zimbabwe Morgan Tsvangirai from 2012 to 2013.
