Norton Member Temba Mliswa says many Members of Parliament are impoverished because they are getting US$125 for the hard work they do in formulating laws and policies in parliament.
Mliswa revealed that a councilor is way better than MPs because he at least gets stands.
He said for all those thinking of becoming MPs they should consider the salary they are willing to settle for.
“With the rate at 600 an MP gets the ZWL equivalent of US$125 before deductions. A Councilor is way better, at least he gets stands,” he wrote.
