President Emmerson Mnangagwa has declared Major General (Retd)Sydney Bhebhe has a National Hero.
The announcement was made when Mnangagwa visited the Bhebhe home in Cranborne, Harare to pay his condolences.
He was accompanied by Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, the Minister of Defence and war Veterans Affairs Hon Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, Minister of Home Affairs Hon Kazembe Kazembe, and Service Chiefs.
Bhebhe died on Monday at Avenues clinic in Harare and he was 61 years.
