Prominent Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono says President Emmerson Mnangagwa has inflicted more pain on Zimbabweans than Ian Smith.

Writing on social media, Hopewell said it is a tragedy that a black government is treating Blacks worse than Ian Smith did.

“Whilst we continue to reflect on how evil Ian Smith was to Black Zimbabweans, we also look at how ZANUPF has inflicted more pain and misery on Black Zimbabweans than Smith”.

Mnangagwa’s current rule is characterised by violent repression and corruption.

Chin’ono bemoaned the inhumane treatment of prisoners and the delapidated state of prisons they survive in.

“You are looking at a picture of Zimbabwean prisoners under ZANUPF. How could Blacks do this to each other?”
