Zimbabwe High School Moot Court Team has bee crowned champions of the world at the International Moot Court competitions.
The team, consisting of 9 girls and 2 boys, selected from different schools across the country, defeated 15 other teams to be crowned world champions.
Zimbabwe was the only African country at the international competition. It was also the only team which was comprised of exclusively black students.
The team’s coach Nqobile Dube shared his excitment over the victory at the High School Moot International Competition 2022.
Dube said as their coach, he is so proud of his team for making history.
“Moot Court is a simulation of actual court proceedings. Students are given a fictitious case, and they argue it as Prosecution or Defense.”
