Meghan Markle pays respects to 21 school shooting victims in Texas

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle on Thursday visited Uvalde, Texas to pay her respects to the victims of an elementary school shooting that left 19 children and two teachers dead.

She laid flowers at a memorial for the victims of the school shooting and donated food at a community center hosting a blood drive.

Megan also walked around the memorial, looking at the white crosses bearing the names of the victims of Tuesday’s carnage.

The gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary School which teaches children aged seven to 10 before he was killed by law enforcement, officials said.

The 18-year-old suspect had a handgun, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and high-capacity magazines, investigators say.

The teenager is suspected of shooting his grandmother before the rampage.
