Veteran gospel musician Deborah Fraser will be laid to rest in her home town, Durban today. She passed away on the 15th of May 2022 after a long battle with sugar diabetes.
During her career that spans over three decades she worked with many artists including Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Brenda Fassie, Chicco Twala, Rebecca Malope and more.
Veteran actress Thembi Nyandeni is in Durban paying tribute to the late iconic singer. As a friend, Thembi described Deborah as a sister, mother and a person whom she hustled with.
Thembi described Deborah Fraser as a performer and a singer who told stories through music.
She said they used to sleep at Deborah Fraser’s house hustling and planning.
She added that people must continue buying her music in order to keep her memories and music alive.
