Warriors captain Knowledge Musona has announced his retirement from international football.

Musona took to Twitter to announce the end of his career which has spanned more than 10 years.

He said: “Dear Zimbabwean Family,
it is with a heavy heart that I officially announce my retirement from national duty with our beloved national football team, the Warriors.”

Musona has represented Zimbabwe for 12 years, starting with his first appearance on 3rd of March 2010, in a game versus South Africa.

He said his time with Warriors has been an incredible and rewarding journey that he is thankful to have had the opportunity to undertake.

Musona added that he is retiring to concentrate on his career at the club level and to afford other teammates and rising stars the opportunity to represent Zimbabwe.
