Wellence Mujuru says Kuda Mahachi’s wife Rose is reportedly in hiding after evidence emerged that she allegedly burnt her step-son and Kuda helped her cover it up.
Mahachi is alleged to have scalded his 4-year-old son Diego with boiling water as punishment.
The horrific injuries did not receive timely medical attention, resulting in the minor’s right foot being amputated.
Meanwhile, security has been increased at Mpilo Central Hospital where Mahachi’s four-year-old son is receiving treatment as he is a key witness in his own case and he knows who harmed him.
The minor has been moved to a more secure bed and guards at the entrance to the children’s hospital now restrict access to the minor. Only “close and trusted relatives” are allowed to see the child.
The hospital has also stopped the mother, Miss Maritha Ndlovu, from receiving food and drinks from visitors.
