UNICEF has appointed Zimbabwean-born, South African rugby legend Tendai Mtawarira as Regional Ambassador for Eastern and Southern Africa.
UNICEF South Africa made the announcement on their verified social media pages.
Mtawarira travelled with UNICEF to Nairobi, Kenya where he spoke with young girls and boys about challenges they are facing in the country.
Mtawarira ‘The Beast’ promised to use his voice to bring much needed attention to UNICEF’s humanitarian and development priorities in the Eastern and Southern Africa region.
