Vodacom has announced the appointment of Zimbabwean businessman Sitho Mdlalose as the new Managing Director of Vodacom South Africa effective 01 July 2022.
Mdlalose replaces Balesh Sharma who leaves the company at the end of June.
Award winning journalist Hopewell Chin’ono congratulated him for becoming the second Zimbabwean to head a South African mobile phone company.
He currently serves as the managing director of Vodacom Tanzania, a position he has held since August 2021.
Sitho is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and a Harvard Business School Senior Executive Programme graduate.
He has over 20 years of experience in finance, consulting and management, 13 of which have been in telecommunications across both emerging and developed markets.
