The SADC Executive Secretary Elias Mpedi Magosi paid a courtesy call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House in Harare this Wednesday.

The new SADC Executive Secretary is in the country to officially introduce himself to Mnangagwa following his election last September.

Elias shared his vision of an integrated, prosperous and peaceful region.

Magosi said his role as executive secretary is to make sure that there are protocols to be signed, policies and strategies that drive integration.

He also warned South Africans against engaging in xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals living and working in their country.

The secretary said those with xenophobic tendencies must consider that there are many South Africans enjoying warm hospitality in other countries.
