The United States Africa Command is set to launch an Office of Security Cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Zambia.

The United States government made the announcement during a meeting with Hakainde Hichilema and visiting AFRICOM Brigadier General Peter Bailey.

The U.S Embassy in Zambia said: “We are pleased to announced that @USAfricaCommand will open an Office of Security Cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Zambia. Visiting AFRICOM Brigadier General Peter Bailey made the announcement during a meeting with His Excellency President @HHichilema”

The new Office of Security Cooperation is expected to enhance military relations and enhance security cooperation between U.S and Zambia.
