Johane Marange apostolic sect leaders reportedly spent two days massaging and bathing the late high priest Noah Taguta’s body with hot water in a bid to resurrect him.
Members of the Taguta family said Noah died on Thursday last week but was only announced dead early Sunday morning after efforts to bring him back to life failed.
Taguta’s sons were blocked from accessing their father’s body as they performed their rituals and warned them against announcing his demise.
Noah was then burried in a sacred mountain summit called Chinyamukumba, preserved for church leaders.
