Police banned Nelson Chamisa’s private meeting held in Chitungwiza yestetday.
Three CCC provincial leaders Maxwell Mavhunga, Jeffrey Chaitezvi and Peter Marange were also arrested.
Writing on Twitter, Job Sikhala questioned Emmerson Mnangagwa’s cruelity on the newly formed party.
“I woke up 2day & still wonder why the police came & viciously stopped our pvt meeting that was being addressed by our President yesterday in Chitungwiza. Nhai @edmnangagwa are we a banned political organization. The law does not require notification on party structures meeting”.
CCC spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere confirmed the disruption of the meeting yesterday.
She said: “@PoliceZimbabwe have disrupted an internal #CCC meeting in Harare Province. The Police ordered the meeting to stop. They gave attendees 5 mins to disperse otherwise “they would attack.”
