Kenya’s former president Mwai Kibaki has died at the age of 90.

President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the death of Mwai Kikabi.

Kibaki was considered one of the most influential figures in African history.

He served as Kenya’s third president, from 2003 to 2013.

Mwai had served as the fourth Vice President of Kenya for ten years from 1978 to 1988 under President Daniel Arap Moi.
