President Emmerson Mnangagwa is officiating at the Zimbabwe 42 Independence celebrations at Barbourfields in Bulawayo.
Mnangagwa arrived with the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa.
His children are also present for the historic national event.
President Mnangagwa has lit the Independence Flame.
This year’s main celebrations first are running under the theme, “Zimbabwe At 42, Leaving No One and No Place Behind.”
