South Africa’s former SA Human Rights Commissioner, Rhoda  Kadalie, has died aged 68.

She passed away in Los Angeles in the US, where she’s been staying with her daughter.

Her brother, Bruce, announced the sad news about the passing of Rhoda.

Kadalie was SA’s human rights commissioner from 1995 until her widely publicised resignation in December 1997.

She shocked many in 2016 when she came out in support of controversial former US president, Donald Trump.

Rhoda is also founder of the Gender Equity Unit at the University of the Western Cape.
