Sungura musician Nicholas Zacharia best known as Madzibaba is celebrating his 66th birthday today.

Writing on Facebook, Madzibaba said he will never be able to thank God enough for everything he has done for him.

“To be honest, I’d never be able to thank God enough for all He’s done, for blessing me much more than I deserve, and for giving me another year to celebrate, thank You, God. I am 66years old, wooow! It can only be God👏👏👏…47 yrs in music industry, 40 yrs of Khiama Boys”.

He will be releasing a new album on the 9th of April titled ‘Musabvunda’

“9 April , I am dropping my 29th Album #MUSABVUNDA…I believe you will all love it…..”

Mark Ngwazi wished his mentor a happy birthday on Facebook.

Nicholas was born in 1956 at Belgownie Estates in Mazowe to Maluva Chekani.

At the age of 10, he could properly play the guitar but his parents discouraged him. At 18, he formed a music group The Green Mangoes with late Robson Kaitano.

In 1980, he formed Vhuka Boys with the help of Shepherd Chinyani.

Zacharia is credited as being the man behind the nurturing of musicians such as Alick Macheso and System Tazvida
