Prominent journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has defended Kuda Musasiwa corruption allegations.
This comes after people circulated a rumour that Musasiwa did not account for the money fundraised for CCC by-election campaign.
Chin’ono said there is a crude attempt to taint Kuda Musasiwa as a corrupt person, the aim is to tarnish CCC.
“This is an attempt to sow a seed of doubt and stop citizens from helping CCC because ZANUPF saw that Nelson Chamisa and CCC won the elections because of citizens Financial support.”
He added that citizens should not be gullible and be dragged into ZANUPF propaganda.
“The fund that Kuda ran is transparent because the money can be seen online by everyone.
Every genuine donor got an email with the breakdown, so why would anyone ask for accounting when everything is public?”
Musasiwa said the money raised through his platform was 100% accounted for and handed to the relevant parties.
